How Long Is Big Walk? Main Story and 100% Time
A realistic planning range for the first ending and 100% completion, with the group-size and puzzle factors that change it.
Updated Aug 15, 2026
Players also call this: how long to beat, game length, playtime, hours

Working playtime estimates
- First ending: about 8–10 hours for a new small group.
- 100% / complete ending: about 12–15 hours for an organized group.
- Relaxed exploration: potentially longer; the game is designed to support hanging out without rushing objectives.
These ranges come from launch-week guide testing and player reports. House House does not promise a fixed completion time, and Big Walk's open structure makes a precise number misleading.

What changes the total?
- A consistent host prevents time lost to restarting the wrong world.
- Three or four coordinated players can cover puzzle roles efficiently.
- Larger groups scout faster but can spend more time regrouping and locating tools.
- The seven purple post-game challenges are harder than the main set.
- Using the Map Room prevents repeated visits to already completed areas.
How to schedule a group
Big Walk is designed for the same group across multiple sessions. Two or three sessions of three to four hours is a comfortable main-story plan. Agree on a recurring host before the first session because that person owns the save.
Three realistic session plans
- One long weekend: two focused four-to-five-hour sessions can reach the first ending if the same group returns.
- Weekly group: reserve three evenings and stop at a transport unlock or tower receiver, where progress is easy to recognize next time.
- Completion run: leave a separate cleanup session for Map Room markers, abandoned rewards and purple challenges.
Do not promise the group an exact finish time. Getting lost, experimenting with tools and waiting for separated players are part of the game rather than wasted time.
