Is there matchmaking?

No. Big Walk does not place you into a lobby with random strangers. A host creates a session and shares its Join Code with the people they want to invite.

Can you play alone?

You can enter and explore by yourself, but many puzzles depend on separated players, simultaneous buttons or long-distance communication. Solo play is best treated as exploration, not the intended full progression route.

How to find people

Use our Find Players board to filter short-lived listings by platform, region, language, microphone preference and experience. No player account is required.

For the best first playthrough, look for people at the same progression stage. Big Walk is a hand-built campaign, so an experienced player who immediately performs every solution can remove the discovery that makes the game work. A useful listing says:

  • new game, current tower or post-game cleanup;
  • timezone and the next time you can actually play;
  • voice or in-game text preference;
  • relaxed, spoiler-free or fast-completion goal;
  • minimum age or language preference when relevant.

Do not publish a permanent account login or reusable password. Exchange the temporary Join Code when the group is ready.

Who keeps the save?

The host owns the session progress. For a group continuing across multiple sessions, keep the same host whenever possible.

Are random players a bad idea?

Not automatically. Random groups work best when everyone agrees on spoilers, pace and whether the session will continue. The official design assumes a consistent group, but current LFG threads show players successfully organizing fresh runs, single-puzzle help and 100% cleanup as separate types of session.
