Big Walk 4166 / 1899 Number Puzzle
Progressive hints for the beach puzzle with two four-digit numbers hanging over a frosted glass nubbin case.
How to identify it
You are in the right place if you see a nubbin inside frosted glass and a hanging plaque showing 4166 and 1899. The important clue is that the release button is not beside the prize.
Common mistake
Do not send the whole group away from the case. The glass only stays open while the distant button is held, so someone must already be waiting beside the reward.
What you need
- At least two players
- The map room is strongly recommended
- Walkie-talkies make the final timing much easier
Exact map-reading method
The large digits give the map lines; the final two digits give the position inside that square. Treat 66 as roughly two-thirds of the way through the latitude direction, and 99 as almost the far edge of the longitude direction. The button is deliberately camouflaged behind a rock, so slow down once the map or GPS says you are close.
